Oh m'gosh has it really been over a month?!?!?  Fail.  Sorry to drop off for so long.  But we've been busy preparing the CD/DVD releae of 'Wonderfly'.  The release party is set for 12-30-11 at the Red Carpet Keller Bar.  Please come out wearing your party pants.  If you purchase the CD at the show you'll receive a free show poster in addition.  To tide you over until then, keep an eye out for our new music video going live on 12-1-11.  December will be hot!!!!

Still working on figuring out what the next move is.  Which one will produce a little fruit?  Choices choices...  We always aspire to do a little more than we're capable of.  It can be frustrating.  Our current goal is to release a hard copy of Wonderfly with a few added tracks and perhaps a DVD containing video and some behond the scene footage.  Alas, time is running short.  Though we make our own deadlines, it still feels llike we're racing against something else.  Some unknown force that drives us all while holding us back.  We do what we can when we can.  Hoping to set up some shows in Fargo, Mankato, Duluth... and of course we need a place to play in our own back yard.  Would love to make another video before the re-release of Wonderfly...  we'll see what time and budget will allow.  Both are running on fumes.  Where there's a will there's a way...

Thought you'd never see the day when the staff at SotF would decide to play some cover tunes?  Well, stay alive for a few more months... you'll see it.  We've been around for about 8 years now...  we've always tried to keep it just original.  Maybe it was pride... maybe it was time... maybe we just weren't feeling it.  But times have changed for us.  We've been through a lot as a band.  We've come to the point where there aren't many places to play that will let us only do originals.  Plus, it would be great to actaully make a little cash.  It's no sercret that the money never seems to just start rolling in.  So we're prepared to try new things in order to produce new results.  Hopefully this will attract the attention of some new enthusiastic ears... rekindle the love of older and tired fly fans.  It may just prove to be a breath of fresh air for all involved.  We plan on adding all sorts of songs from our favorite artists ranging from the early nineties to the mid 2000's...  But we're not gonna straight up be a cover band.  The original music will continue to develope and flow...  Just you wait.

Ok, so it's been a month.  No apologies.  All this time gone by and all I have to say is F$#% this heat.  If you're one of the many that were complaining about the nice rainy overcast weather we had a few weeks back, I hope you're sitting outside, naked, with no sun screen.  Suck it up!!  ishhhhh.  But no, you're probably bitching now TOO!! Aren't ya?  Thought so.

It's been a couple weeks since Wonderfly's release.  From what we can tell it's been well received.  We now enter the summer madness of BBQ, yard games, stormy weather and stinky garbage.  It is our goal to maintain a couple/few shows a month as to not drop off the radar.  In an effort to do this AND to keep your attention, we're releasing yet another video with Ned Domm at the Chop Shop.  The video will be for "Safe?".  "Safe?" is a new diddy that can be found on our new album.  Not only that, but if you find us on facebook and "like" us, you can download "Safe?" for FREE.  BAM!!!  Come out to a show, you'll be happy you did.  See you soon...

Well, now it comes down to it...  The final moments.  It's hard to see your baby grow up and start to walk, run, leaving the power of your influence behind.  It's been about two years since we started working on Wonderfly.  Many ups and downs... twists and turns.  Much has changed internally.  Though a project may never actually feel finished, there comes a point of time when you simply run out of juice.  Time, money, mental resilience and emotions run thin.  Thus, you need to let go.  We are letting go of Wonderfly, unleashing him into the wild... off to save the world... we are proud of him.  At this point, he is what he is.  Sure he's not perfected and as polished as, let's say, Superman.  He's a little rough around the edges.  But we believe you'll find him to be every bit as effective...

Hopefully today and tomorrow, we'll be able to wrap up all vocals for Wonderfly.  This just leaves a few tracks needing some leads and auxilary goodness.  It's so close.  I can smell the mixdown.  Smells kinda like... battery acid mixed with blueberries.  Oh well...  If only our new album would taste as delightful as CP1000's kitchen experiments...  One can only hope.  Keep your ear around here, and listen up for some brand new fly tunes and shows come April/May.

Ahhh, nothing like some fresh new snow to help kick off winter part 2.  You didn't actually think spring was here did you?  Silly.  If nothing else, enjoy it for its beauty.  And the fact that it keeps so many people from living here.  Because after all, what sucks more than people?  MORE people.  Joy to the world, let it snow!  Wait, is Christmas over already?  sigh  ;-)

Yea, it's been three weeks... whatever.  BUT!!! Today Wesnile hath finished hims guitar track-a-lackin'.  That's right, all rhythm guitar is finished for 14 tracks of tasty biscuits.  AND, we have found our new bass player!!  He's solid and we know you'll like him!!  Welcome aboard Jonny Fly!!

Ok... so, 2 things...

1.  We made huge strides on the new album last week. Just a few more things to wrap up before we can finalize some mixes. Also, we've decided to add a few more "brand new" tracks into the mix. So it may have delayed things an eency weency tiny ity bity little bit. :-) But they're cool diddies, so It's worth it. All in all "Wonderfly" will be approx. an hour long. Tasty

2.  This weekly news thing...  it's tough.  Not that much happens from week to week to warrant "weekly news".  I don't know how FOX can give it to you 24 hours a day, oh wait, it's because they report stupid inaccurate crap and hype up everything in an effort to keep you entertained.  While we want you to be entertained, we're not total whores.  Just mildly whorish...  So, we now present you with...

BI-WEEKLY NEWS!!!  Until, that gets too tough to maintain as well.  But, we're not quite at that bridge.

YAY!!! We made it! We survived yet another year.  Soon the planet will be completely destroyed and there will be little to no rejoicing (Dec 21, 2012 of course!!  DUH!!).  Don't worry, the world has ended multiple times already... We can continue on as normal.  Nothing is wrong.  Sorry we missed a couple weeks of news.  Does that mean nothing happened?  No, not really.  I've just been too busy stuffing my face with Holiday sweets to report anything.  Ok.  Here's the news.  I'm getting fat.  To hell with it.  I'm gonna go grab another cookie because I'm American.  And in America if you don't celebrate your freedom and liberty bying destroying your body... then you're a damned terrorist.
